Embarking on a New Journey: Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching
As an osteopath with over 25 years of experience in holistic practices like tai chi, qigong, and yoga, I have always believed in treating the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. My extensive study of nutrition, encompassing various dietary approaches, has further enriched my understanding of health and well-being.
On June 1st, I began a new chapter by enrolling in the Integrative Nutrition Health Coach program. This program offers a holistic approach to health, emphasising the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It aligns with my philosophy of supporting clients in achieving balance and vitality through personalised guidance.
Clarifying the Difference Between My Current Health Coaching and IIN Training
The health coaching I currently provide is grounded in my osteopathic background, focusing on supporting clients through bodywork, movement therapies, and manual treatments, often addressing musculoskeletal health and rehabilitation. This approach follows osteopathic principles and clinical guidelines.
In contrast, the Integrative Nutrition Health Coach program I am now training in offers a broader, more holistic approach centered on nutrition, lifestyle, and the mind-body-spirit connection. IIN coaching emphasizes personalized nutrition strategies, primary and secondary foods, and empowering clients to make sustainable lifestyle changes through an integrative coaching method. This complements but is distinct from the osteopathic health coaching I currently practice.
A Note on Scope and Practice
While I am excited to integrate these new insights into my practice, it’s important to clarify the scope of this training:
The Integrative Nutrition Health Coach program is distinct from osteopathy and does not adhere to osteopathic guidelines.
The coaching provided through this program is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
The information shared is educational and supportive in nature, aiming to empower individuals to make informed lifestyle choices.
I look forward to sharing this journey with you and exploring how these new perspectives can enhance our collective understanding of health and wellness.
